  • One of the greatest benefits of Direct Care is that it is truly direct. Have a question after your visit? Need clarification about a diagnosis, treatment plan, or medication? You'll have timely access to your Physician Assistant—not layers of phone trees, call centers, or waiting weeks for a response. We believe better communication leads to better care.

  • No. Curated Skin & Wellness operates on a Direct Care model, meaning we do not bill insurance for office visits or procedures. This allows us to provide transparent pricing, longer appointment times, and personalized care without insurance restrictions.

  • Yes. One of the benefits of our Direct Care model is complete transparency. We believe you should understand the cost of your care upfront, not weeks or months later. Before leaving your appointment, you'll receive a clear explanation of any charges, recommended treatments, and associated costs so you can make informed decisions about your care. No confusing insurance statements, hidden fees, or surprise bills arriving in the mail—just straightforward pricing and open communication.

  • In many cases, yes. Depending on your plan and the service provided, you may be able to use Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds. We recommend confirming coverage with your plan administrator.

  • Yes. You may use your insurance for any medications prescribed during your visit. While our office operates on a Direct Care model, prescriptions are sent to your pharmacy as they would be from any medical practice. Please note that some medications may require a prior authorization from your insurance company before they can be approved for coverage. If additional time and administrative work are required to complete a prior authorization, an additional fee may apply. We will always discuss any potential costs with you beforehand so there are no surprises.

  • No referral is required. Patients may schedule directly with our office.

  • If your condition requires a surgical procedure beyond the scope of services offered at Curated Skin & Wellness, such as specialized skin cancer removal, we will coordinate a referral to a trusted dermatologic surgeon or dermatologist with expertise in surgical treatment. Our goal is to ensure you receive the most appropriate care for your condition. Any evaluation, treatment, or procedures performed by the referred provider will be billed separately by their office, and you will be responsible for any costs associated with your care through that physician or practice.

  • No. Curated Skin & Wellness is not a concierge practice, so there is no membership fee required to become or remain a patient for medical dermatology services. We believe in keeping care simple—you pay only for the services you receive. There are no annual enrollment fees, retainer fees, or recurring charges required to access medical dermatologic care. For patients interested in aesthetic treatments, we do offer optional memberships and treatment packages that provide exclusive benefits and savings. Participation in these programs is entirely voluntary and is not required to receive care at our practice.

  • If laboratory testing is recommended, we will discuss your options and associated costs before ordering any tests. We do not draw labs in our office at this time therefore you will be referred to an outpatient lab which may incur additional cost to you. It is possible that some labs may or may not be covered under your insurance.

  • Yes. One of the benefits of our practice model is continuity of care. You'll develop a relationship with the same provider who understands your history, goals, and treatment plan.

Appointment Deposit & Cancellation Policy

At Curated Skin & Wellness, we reserve dedicated time specifically for you. To help us provide exceptional care, longer appointment times, and minimal wait times for all patients, we require a deposit when scheduling an appointment.

    • A $100 deposit is required when booking any appointment, including both medical dermatology and aesthetic services.

    • Your deposit will be applied toward services rendered during your visit.

    • Deposits may be applied to medical visits and procedures only. Deposits cannot be used toward retail products, transferred for cash value, or refunded.

    • The deposit secures your reserved appointment time and demonstrates your commitment to attending your visit.

    • We understand that life happens. You may reschedule or cancel your appointment at any time more than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.

    • If you cancel your appointment with more than 24 hours' notice, your deposit will remain on your account and may be applied toward a future rescheduled appointment.

    • Deposits are non-refundable.

    • If you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours of your appointment by phone or text, a $100 late cancellation fee will apply.

    • This fee helps offset the reserved appointment time that could have been offered to another patient.

  • If you fail to arrive for your appointment and do not contact our office ("no-show/no-call"), the card on file will be charged a $150 no-show fee.
